Introduction

This is my first post on a blog that will be dedicated to sports, so I'm going to take this opportunity to say a little something about myself and more specifically about what this blog will cover.  My name is Jason Clark (as you've probably figured out by now) and I'm a freshman at California State University Long Beach, where I am pursuing a degree in journalism.  If everything works out, this blog will be the first step in a career of sports journalism.

Being from Los Angeles County, you can expect to see a number of posts regarding Southern California teams, but I'll do my best to incorporate material from around the various sports leagues.  Speaking of various leagues, the ones I will be posting about the most are the MLB, NFL, NCAA, and NBA.  You can also expect to see a good amount on CIF high school football.

Well, I'm excited about starting this and I hope that I can gather a following before too long.  It would be foolish to leave this without some form of advertisement, so I'll just say it flat-out: If you happen to stumble upon this blog (and find its contents interesting), don't hesitate to refer it to others who might be interested.
